I often marvel at how many people have touched my life, in little, and big ways. Just meeting one person can open up your world to so many new connections, whether a brief exchange or a lasting friendship, it ripples out and changes who you would have been, forever. And when you look back, you can’t even imagine how life would have been without knowing them, or who you would have been had you not met them. It’s as if God hand-picked them just for you, and placed them in your path for a reason.

Call it destiny, kismet or fate – but there are defining moments in each of our lives that have to be more than coincidence. That when we look back at things that happen to us or choices we’ve made, we see just how incredible each turn of events was, if we are paying attention.

“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her,” he said.
Even Dominic knew that one by heart.
Go and sin no more.
And that’s just what he had vowed to do. For his sake, and the sake of his relationship with Phoebe.
He guessed he felt forgiven.
By God.
But it still tugged at his conscience that he hadn’t told Phoebe the full truth of what happened with Gina.

We’re all trying to make up a reality…here on a rock, floating in space, she thought. She reflected on Joe. ... Every interaction they had, made an impact, even if it were subtle. Whether they realized it or not. Energy passed from one person to the next. Every moment of every day. Pulling in, or pushing away, with an invisible thread, everyone who comes into contact with the other. Either virtually, or physically. And that is why it matters, she thought. Because everyone affects everything, and everyone, they meet. She had allowed herself to become attached to a stranger so much, that it hurt to lose him. It felt surreal. And she took it as a hint of something greater than herself. It was bigger than she could fathom, and in that she found solace. Anne welcomed the grief. Although underneath that, it was gratitude she felt. For all of the people who had touched her life, and all the moments, beautiful or bittersweet… that took her breath away.
